Billing & Charges

Question 6: Do I need a credit card for the free trial?

A card is required for verification, but it does not have to be a standard credit card. GoHighLevel requires a valid payment method on file to start the trial. You can use a debit card or a virtual/temporary card offered by services like Tonic, Gotyme, or MariBank (depending on your region).

Question 7: Will I be charged today?

No. The "Charge Today" amount should be $0.00. You will be charged the full subscription fee only after the extended trial period ends.

GHL's payment processor performs a small, temporary authorization hold (often $1.00 USD) to verify the card's validity. This is an industry standard practice and is immediately refunded or released by your bank.

Yes. The trial only covers the monthly subscription fee. Usage costs for SMS, Email (LC Phone/LC Email), and AI conversations are usage-based and are charged to your Wallet/Rebilling balance, even during the trial.

Cancellation & Data

Question 11: How do I cancel my trial?

You must cancel your subscription manually inside your GHL account. Navigate to Agency Settings $\to$ Billing $\to$ Modify/Cancel Subscription and follow the prompts.

Question 12: When must I cancel to avoid being charged?

You must cancel before the end of the final day of your free trial (e.g., before Day 30). Set a reminder for at least 48 hours before the deadline to be safe.

Question 13: What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your account becomes inactive. GHL typically retains (archives) your data for a period of 90 days. During this time, you can reactivate your account to recover everything. After 90 days, the data is subject to permanent deletion.

Question 14: How can I save my practice work before canceling?

The best method is to create a Snapshot of your sub-account. A Snapshot is a reusable template that contains all your funnels, workflows, forms, and settings, allowing you to re-import it into a new GHL account later.

Yes, you can reactivate your old account within the data retention period, or start a brand new trial/account using a different email address if needed.
